Steve Davis (quarterback)

Steve Davis (born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma) was a quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners from 1972–1976. He was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the 1976 Orange Bowl, when the Sooners won their 5th National Championship. Davis led the Sooners to a 32–1–1 record as their starting quarterback. With Davis at the helm the Sooners won the National Championship in 1974 and 1975.[1][2][3] Davis was also a color commentator for CBS Sports college football telecasts in the 1980s. Davis is a born again Christian and has been featured as a speaker giving his Christian testimony.
